Committee Function
The Science Committee administers the Endowment Grants for research on native plants, provides technical review for FNPS publications such as the Palmetto, and manages the Science Tract at the FNPS Annual Conference.
Volunteers
Volunteers on this committee are generally science professionals with advance degrees in areas of science relevant to FNPS. Some activities include
- Publicizing the Science Research Grants
- Acting as a grant application reviewer
- Acting as a reviewer for FNPS publications especially scientific articles in the Palmetto.
- Assisting with the Science Track at the annual FNPS conference
