Expressing Opinions
FNPS maintains a Policy and Legislation Committee whose role it is to assist the FNPS Board of Directors in formulating policies. You will find more information under Programs --> Policy & Legislation.
As a 501(3)(c) Corporation, it is important for everyone to remember that this organization must be consistent with this federal regulation in order to maintain our tax-exempt status. The guidelines published by the Policy & Legislation committee will help you do so.
From time to time, FNPS publishes information on current issues of interest to members. Unless FNPS has adopted specific policies regarding the topic or the BOD has authorizid action, we do not speak as an organization. Individuals and chapters are authorized to speak only for themselves and not on behalf of FNPS. 501(3)(c) Chapters, like FNPS, must adhere to federal regulations.
