Interpretive Trail: Tree Snail Hammock Nature Trail

The Tree Snail Hammock Nature Trail is a short, self-guided trail located on Loop Road.  This hammock is typical of the subtropical hammocks found on wet rocklands in South Florida.  It is home to beautifully colored liguus tree snails, spiraled with pink, yellow, brown, and green stripes.   These snails have coloration specific to their local habitats. They are rare.
