Pine Ridge Trail, Ichetucknee Springs State Park

The state park is known for its springs and for the spring run which is used for tubing and canoeing. A frequently overlooked area of the park is the sandhill, with its towering longleaf pine and wide open vistas. The Pine Ridge interpretive trail shows off the natural diversity of this unique sandhill ecosystem. The self-guided 2 mile loop trail will take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes to complete. The park has two other short trails, mostly lacking signs, that lead down the spring run and to a second spring. They are worth following to enjoy the beauty of the park.
