Interpretive Trail: University of Central Florida Arboretum
University of Central Florida Arboretum
The UCF Arboretum is managed with prescribed fire and has scrub, mesic flatwoods, and hydric flatwoods. The Arboretum is divided into three sections - Lake Claire, the main Arboretum, and East Parcel. All told, it has 14 miles of trails. Check out their interactive trail map.
The Arboretum doesn’t have interpretive signage, but it does have an excellent virtual tour.
The Arboretum was established in 1983 and is approximately 83 acres. Tarflower Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society has partnered with the University of Central Florida in rescuing and relocating plants from development sites into the Arboretum, including threatened Hooded Pitcher Plants, Sarracenia minor.
Park either at Garage F or the UCF softball stadium parking lot if you’re not a UCF student.
