Wildlife
Avoided by mammalian herbivores.
he flowers attract long-tongued insects such as carpenter bees, hummingbird moths, and butterflies. Ruby-throated hummingbirds are also attracted to the nectar. Not known to be a larval plant for monarch butterflies.
