Phenology:Winters as a basal rosette. Blooms late summer into fall.
Habitats:Sandhill, scrubby flatwoods, mesic flatwoods.


Recommended Uses:Dry meadows. Wildflower gardens.

Attracts many butterflies (NSIS), bees and other pollinators.  One documented bee is Halictus ligatus (Deyrup et al. 2002).
