Phenology:Winter semi-dormant with a small rosette of leaves present. Flowers in October.
Habitats:Scrub, scrubby ruderal areas, sandhill, river levees.

Recommended Uses:Dry wildflower garden.  Abundant flowers are produced near the ends of the stems.

A, Hylaeus confluens, Augochlora pura, Augochlorella aurata, Augochloropsis anonyina, A. szcmnptuosa, Dialictus ininiatulus, D. nymnphalis, D. placidensis, Sphecodes heraclei, Anthidiellum perplexurn, Coelioxys sayi, C. octodentata, Megachile albitarsis, Apis inellifera and  Bornbus impatiens (Deyrup et al. 2002).
