Conservation Goals:
1) Surveying privately owned properties for Warea amplexifolia within the Ocklawaha area to develop a better understanding of its distribution.
2) Develop partnerships with private landowners, Putnam Land Conservancy, and Duke Energy (a major land manager in the area due to large powerline ROWs) providing guidance and resources for best land management practices to protect Warea amplexifolia on their property - including invasive plant identification and management.
3) Provide scientifically accurate education on the status and plight of Warea amplexifolia via social media, presentations, and field trips.
4) Buy land in the Warea Area of Ocklawaha that has Wara amplexifolia present, restore it, and manage it for the benefit of the species.
