Gifts in Honor & Memory

Some of the people we love most are the ones who taught us to notice the world around us: a grandmother who could name every wildflower on a trail, a teacher who took a class outside instead of staying in, a friend who never drove past a longleaf pine forest without slowing down to look. A tribute gift to FNPS is a way to celebrate that person, in a form that keeps growing long after the moment has passed.

In Honor Of

Give in honor of someone who's still with us: for a birthday, a retirement, a graduation, or simply because they've spent a lifetime caring for Florida's native landscapes. It's a meaningful way to mark an occasion or say thank you to a mentor, a naturalist, a master gardener, or anyone whose love of native plants has shaped how you see the world.

In Memory Of

Give in memory of someone who has passed, as a living tribute to what they cared about. Many families ask that gifts be made to FNPS in lieu of flowers, because it lets a person's memory take root in exactly the kind of place they loved: a scrub habitat restored, a native garden planted, a piece of wild Florida protected for good.

How It Works

When you make a tribute gift, simply let us know the honoree's name and whether the gift is in honor or in memory of them. If you'd like, we'll send a card to the honoree or their family letting them know a gift was made in their name. The donation amount stays private, and only the tribute itself is shared. Every tribute gift goes directly toward the work you'd expect: protecting native plant species, restoring habitat, and educating the next generation of people who'll stop to look, too.
