Description

The Ixia Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society is dedicated to promoting the preservation, conservation, and restoration of native plants in northeast Florida. They have monthly educational meetings, field trips, and a variety of other events such as outreach, habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, presentation to garden clubs and other organizations and more. The chapter has adopted Native Park in Jacksonville, showcasing over 150 different species of Florida natives. Chapter activities are free and open to the public. Volunteers are welcomed.

 THROUGH 12/25 meet at Garden Club of Jacksonville, 1005 Riverside Ave., Jax 32204.  Starting 2/26 meet at Riverside Presbyterian Church. 849 Park Street, Jax 32204

General Day/Time:

Meets monthly except July, August and January on the 2nd Wednesday of the month beginning at 6 pm.

Chapter Activities:

Plant sales, seed collection & distribution, plant rescues, invasive plant removals, demostration garden (Native Park), Native Park tours, field trips, monthly meetings, outreach events, presentation to other organizations, art show, bioblitzes, habitat restoration, land management reviews
