Description
The Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS), founded in 1980, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to championing Florida’s native plants and the habitats that sustain them. The Pinellas Chapter—now the largest in the state with more than 500 members—was recognized as the 2022 Chapter of the Year for its leadership in conserving the Gladys Douglas Preserve in Dunedin.
We offer monthly meetings, guided field trips, hands-on workshops, special events, and volunteer opportunities that connect people with the remarkable plant life of our region. We also award grants to partner organizations whose projects advance our shared mission.
All Pinellas Chapter activities are open to the public. Explore our program calendar for upcoming events, directions, and maps—and join us in protecting and celebrating Florida’s native plants.
