Description:

These watercourses are characterized by clear to lightly colored water derived primarily from shallow groundwater seepage. They may be perennial or flow intermittently on a seasonal basis.


Aquatic vegetation is generally sparse, but ferns and other moisture-loving plants often grow abundantly along the edges.
