Description:

Spring-run streams are perennial watercourses fed by deep aquifer headwaters. They are characterized by clear water and a circumneutral pH.


Vegetation

Characteristic species include Florida willow ( Salix caroliniana ), spring-run spiderlily ( Hymenocallis rotata ), and yellow waterlily ( Nymphaea mexicana ).

Several of these streams also support rare plant species.
