Donation Guidelines


What We Accept

  • Art, photography, and handcrafted items including jewelry
  • Nature and outdoor experiences
  • Books and field guides: new, first edition, author signed, or out of print
  • Gift certificates for restaurants, lodging, wineries, and experiences
  • Landscape and garden services
  • Spa, wellness, and personal care products
  • Florida-made goods and specialty items


What We Do Not Accept

  • Physical alcohol or food donations (gift certificates and experiences welcome)
  • Plants, seeds, or gardening supplies
  • Hunting or fishing gear
  • Non-native or invasive plant products
  • Anything inconsistent with FNPS's conservation mission and values

FAQ - Donating to the Biennial Silent Auction!


Q:  Is there a minimum donation value?
Yes. All donated items must have an estimated value of $25 or more.


Q: What is the donation deadline?
All donation commitments must be submitted by
October 31, 2026. Late submissions may not be guaranteed program recognition.


Q: When and where do I deliver my item?
Physical items must be available for pickup or delivery in Gainesville, Florida by
December 1, 2026.


Q: Will my donation be recognized publicly?
Yes! Donors are recognized by name or organization on the silent auction page and in the official conference program. You may opt out and be listed anonymously.


Q: How will my donation support FNPS?

Your donation directly fuels FNPS's mission to protect Florida's native plants and their habitats through conservation, education, and advocacy. Every item donated helps make our biennial conference an unforgettable experience and supports the work that keeps Florida's ecosystems alive.
