This retreat draws passionate naturalists, conservation-minded professionals, and dedicated plant enthusiasts — exactly the audience that cares about quality gear, sustainable brands, and the tools of field science.
Why Sponsor the Apalachicola Retreat?
FNPS members are engaged, educated, and values-driven consumers. As a sponsor, your brand is placed in front of participants who will be using field gear throughout a weekend immersion and who trust FNPS's judgment about who we partner with. Sponsorship also directly supports critically endangered plant recovery, including our work with Atlanta Botanical Garden on the critically endangered and seemingly functionally extinct Torreya taxifolia.

Food, Caffeine, & Spirits
Florida field days start early and run long. Sponsoring retreat coffee and meals means your brand is present at the most communal moments of the weekend: the kitchen just after dawn, the thermos at the trailhead, the table where plant IDs get argued over dinner.
Some great fits: healthy food for custom made meals, coffee to help us wake up, tea (including yaupon - caffeine is key!), energy bars to fuel hikes, electrolytes to keep us hydrated, locally grown & bottled spirits to unwind during evening conservation conversations.
Hiking Gear
From boots on the ravine slope to a water bottle in every hand, outdoor gear sponsors are visible all day, every day in the field, in group photos, and in every piece of content FNPS shares from the weekend.
Some great fits: hats to keep our face and necks from burning, hiking boots so trek ravines, clothing that wicks moisture and keeps cool, sunglasses to dampen the sun's glare, non-greasy sunscreen for ultimate sun protection, bug spray to keep our ankles tick free.
Botanizing Supplies
Field notebooks, hand lenses, and scopes are the working tools of the retreat — open, in use, and passed between participants at every species ID stop. Sponsoring botanizing supplies puts your brand at the center of the retreat's most memorable scientific moments.
Some great fits: weather-proof notebooks and writing tools for field observations, hand lenses/scopes to get close and personal with nature, composition notebooks for writing notes and reflections, plant ID apps to settle heated ID debates.
Ready to Partner With Us?
Sponsorship is flexible. We'd love to work with what makes sense for your brand. Product donors outfit our participants directly; event sponsors receive prominent placement across all retreat communications. Either way, your logo lives on the event page from the moment we announce your partnership through the entire summer up to six weeks before the retreat and all summer long on our event page, in front of an audience of conservation-minded Floridians who trust what FNPS puts its name on.
Every sponsor is also featured in our post-retreat recap blog post, a full write-up of the weekend that goes straight to our statewide membership via Sabal minor, the FNPS newsletter, delivered directly to members' inboxes.
To discuss options, email executivedirector@fnps.org and we will find the right fit.
